Enclosed please find a copy of the preservice inspection summary report for Beaver Valley Unit 2. This report summarizes the nondestructive examinations which have been completed.
This submittal is provided in accordance with Section XI of the ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code. The preservice examinations were completed by February 1, 1988.
A listing of the preservice inspection relief requests for code required examinations has been included in the report. Relief was granted for certain preservice inspections and the inspection program itself was determined to be acceptable by your letter dated July 2, 1987 and Safety Evaluation Report Supplement 5 (SSER-5). Additional information pursuant to 10 CFR 50.55a(a)(3) has been provided for coveral of the relief requests detailed in SSER-5. We also submitted coveral additional relief requests in July of 1987. This information is included in the chronology of Appendix A to SSER-6.
