Radiography Source DESCRIPTION:
The Model VXR is a stainless steel, heliarc welded, singly encapsulated source designed specifically for the VXR-F radiography camera manufactured by North American X-Ray.
The source is a cylinder 0.25" (6.35 mm) in diameter and 0.25" long.
The source is installed in the radiography camera by Cumberland Research Corporation and held in place by a special threaded plug.

As of the effective date of this document, the Model VXR l
Radiography Source is no longer manufactured and distributed by l
Cumberland Research Corporation. Cumberland Research Corporation's materials license expired on July 31, 1977 and the company is no longer in business.
l This source was approved for licensing purposes by the Atomic Energy Commission (AEC) on March 28, 1968.
There is insufficient information on file for this device to perform a safety evaluation.
Therefore, this certificate is being reissued without further review based on the original review and approval issued by AEC.
