This source changer can be used to exchange Cumberland Research Corporation Model P radiography sources in Technical Operations exposure devices.

The source changer is identical to the Cumberland Research Model A source changer with the exception of i

the extension fitting which is 1-3/8" (34. 9 mm) long instead of 7/8" (22. 2 mm) long.

The source guide tube fitting has adapter threads to fit Technical Operations exposure devices.

SUMMARY

j As of the effective date of this document, the Model P Radiography Source Changer :Us no longer manufactured and distributed by Cumberland Research Corporation. Cumberland Research Corporation's materials license expired on July 31, 1977 and the company is no longer in business.

This device was approved for licensing purposes by the Atomic Energy Commission (AEC) on February 29, 1968.

There is insufficient information on file to perform a safety evaluation.

Therefore, this certificate is being reissued without further review based on the original review and approval issued by AEC.

There is insufficient information on file to perform safety evaluations. The background files only contained the registration certificate and NUDOCS only had licensing information.

Archive files form Oak Ridge contain original AEC registration, mostly just correspondence Jetters between AEC and CRC, a lot of engineering drawings, but little, if any, technical information. Therefore, these certificates are being reissued without further review based on the original review and approvalissued by AEC.
