Beave'r Valley Power Station, Unit No. 2 Docket No. 50-412, License No. NPF-73 IPEEE Submittal Date Extension 4
The purpose of this letter is to notify the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) of a change to our previous commitment to provide the Beaver Valley Power Station Unit No. 2 IPEEE submittal by July 1997. By letter dated October 1,1992, Duquesne Light Company made this commitment and the NRC acknowledged this with their letter dated July 19,1994.
The progress being made to meet this conunitment was interrupted when the NRC conducted their maintenance rule inspection the week of July 11, 1997.
The key individuals working on the IPEEE were diverted to inspection preparation and support activities which resulted in the scheduled completion date being delayed. Therefore, the Beaver Valley Unit No. 2 IPEEE submittal date has been rescheduled to September 30, 1997.
