SUBJECT:

Waterford 3 SES Docket No. 50-382 License No. NPF-38 Retraction of Special Report SR-88-002-00 On March 7, 1988, Louisiana Power & Light submitted Special Report SR-88-002-00.

This report was titled "Radioactively Contaminated Tools Discovered in Unrestricted Areas."

A review of this event has determined that the tools were never outside the restricted area as defined in Technical Specification 5.1.3 and this report was sub-mitted in error.

The initial report was submitted per 10CFR20.405(a)(1)(v) and Technical Specification 6.9.2.

The review also concluded that the report should have been submitted per 10CFR50.73 vice 10CFR20.405.
