BROWNS FERRY NUCLEAR PLANT (BFN) - EMERGENCY CORE COCLING SYSTEM (ECCS) EVALUATION MODEL CHANGES - ANNUAL REPORT The purpose of this letter is to report in accordance with 10 CFR 50.4 6 (a) (3) (ii), the impact of changes or errors in the methodology used to demonstrate compliance with ECCS requirements of 10 CFR 50.46.
This report covers the period of the last report issued by General Electric (GE) on June 28, 1996 (Reference 1), to June 27, 1997, (Reference 2).
4 Currently Unit 2 is in cycle 9 operation and Unit 3 is in cycle 8 operation.
The LOCA analysis methodology being utilized by BFN for these units is based on the GE SAFER /GESTR model.
There have been no changes or errors identified for the SAFER /GESTR model used to analyze the LOCA for BFN Units 2 and 3 during this reporting period.
There are no commitments introduced in this letter.
