COMANCHE PEAK STEAM ELECTRIC STATION (CPSES)

DOCKET NOS. 50-445 AND 50-446 ADAPT 0R MODULES AND ELECTRICAL PENETRATIONS SDAR: CP-86-49 (FINAL REPORT)

Gentlemen:

On October 10, 1986, we notified you by our letter, logged TXX-6018, of a deficiency involving Conax adaptor modules and electrical we deemed reportable under the provisions of 10CFR50.55(e) penetrations which Our most recent-interim report was logged TXX-88123, dated January 18, 1988.

As noted in TXX-6018, our corrective actions for this issue involve replacing the affected modules and modifying the Coating Engineering Verification Program to include provisions to assure solvents which affect end sealants do not come into contact with the sealants during the applications of coatings.

Currently, all Unit 1 modules have been installed and the Coating Engineering verification Program has been modified as required.

Installation of the Unit 2 modules is currently scheduled for completion by Unit 2 fuel load.
