SUMMARY

A meeting was held in Rockville on July 19, 1988, with representatives of Georgia Power Company to discuss licensee responses to portions of Generic Letter 83-28 as regards the Hatch Nuclear Station. Attendees are listed in the enclosure.

The meeting was held at the request of the licensee to discuss the status and Content of responses to questions the staff had asked regarding equipment lists used in connection with actions required by Generic Letter 83-28.

During the meeting, the licensee discussed the lists and mechanisms used to provide 6ssurance that safety-related components are properly identified at the plant. The staff was able to obtain clarifications as necessary. It was agreed that the equipr.ent lists 6nd mechanisms used by the licensee are sufficient to satisfy the GL 83-28 requirements. Describing these would provide a complete response to the staff questions. The licensee will respond formally to the staff questions within about 30 days.
