Subject: NRC Region I Inspection Report No. 50-223/88-02

This refers to the routine safety inspection conducted by Messrs. A. Cerne and

D. Ruscitto of this office on April 14, May 12 and June 10, 1988, of activities

authorized by NRC License No. R-125 and to the discussions of our findings held

by Mr. Cerne with Mr. T. Wallace and other members of your staff at the con-

clusion of the inspection.

Areas examined during this inspection are described in the NRC Region I

Inspection Report which is enclosed with this letter. Within these areas, the

inspection consisted of selective examinations of procedures and representative

records, interviews with personnel, and observations by the inspector.

Within the scope of this inspection, no violations were observed.

In accordance with 10 CFR 2./90 of the NRC'> "Rules and Practice," a copy of

this letter ard the enclosure will be placed in the NRC Public Document Room.
