The purpose of this modific'ation is to extend the contract period of performance for or.e additional year for the period of April 8,1988 through April 7,1989.
Therefore, the parties mutually agree to the following:

This agreement will continue in effect until April 7,1989, unless sooner terminated as set forth hereinafter.
