SUPMARY OF THE MARCH 23,1%3 MEETINEWITH PECO PERTAINING TO GE HYBRID CONTROL RODS-AND UNIT 3' RELOAD At the request of the NRC staff, PEco and Genertl Electric (GE) provided a technical presentation on GE-Hybrid Control' Rod Assemblies currectly proposed for installation in Peach Bottom, Unit 3.
During this presen-tation, it was indicated by GE that they were also seeking a NRC generic review of the production type Hybrid control rode (Type 1). The NRC staff indicated that they would review and assess the use of the proposed surveillance (Type II) control rods for Unit 3 as part of the,
Unit 3 reloact evaluation; however, a generic review.of the production /
Type 1 Hybrid _ control' rods would not imediately consnence until NRC 4
is' formally requested ty GE and/or PECo to undertake a reviev pf the C prorpsed production type control rods. This item was not fuether
