In the Matter of ALCHEMIE, INC., Antitrust Review, NRC Docket No. 55396-NMSS A
Dear Mr. Vogler,
You have requested our advice pursuant to Section 105(c) of i
the Atomic Energy Act of 1954, as amended, regarding the appli-i cation by ALCHEMIE, INC. to construct and operate a stable, l
non-radioactive isotope enrichment facility.
ALCHEMIE plans to produce selected inert gas isotopes and isotopes of the heavier elements for use in medical, industrial and commercial markets.
ALCHEMIE plans to uso surplus government equipment purchased from DOE in its business.
Our review of the information submitted by you, as well as other relevant information available to us, has disclosed no basis upon which to conclude that an antitrust hearing is necessary regarding ALCHEMIE's application.
Sincerely yours, l ;,' / A James R. Weiss Chief Transportation, Energy &
Agriculture Section YVOYOlo/5 7 j p,
