Dear Rick:

LILCO has asked me to respond to your June 6 letter to Ita Freilicher.

There is no point in squabbling over emergency plan custody.

As you know, three controlled copies of the Shoreham Offsite Radiological Emergency Response Plan have been provided to New York State through you and remain in your custody. Those copies, which are separate from the ones you have returned, will continue to be updated by LILCO. Lt such time as the Shoreham licensing litigation is completed and the plant commences commercial opera-tion, LILCO trusts that those copies will be made available by you to officials charged with actually protecting the health and safety of New York citizens. Of course, additional copies are available upon request at any time from LILCO.
