ITEMS OF INTEREST FOR THE COMMISSION GA0 Audit of Material Program Members of the GA0 Audit team visited NMSS on June 7, 1988. They indicated that they would return to NRC in about two weeks to discuss their draft report on the audit of the Material Program. Af ter input from this meeting, they plan to prepare a final draft report and transmit to NRC for official comments. During the meeting NMSS staff discussed the following topics with the auditors:

Equipment Rulemaking in Radiography b.
Contractual agreement with State of Texas for a Radiography question bank.
c.
HMSS initiative regarding pre and post licensing site visits d.
License denials e.
Generic issues identified in the materials area and their current statuses f.
General distribution licensing.
