Inquiry No. 87-22 On November 18, 1987, Ms. E. Ullrich of this office conducted an inquiry at the above address.
This inquiry concerned the transfer of licensed material from Amex Systems, Inc. of California to Bendix Test Systems, and your activities as they related to radiation safety and compliance with the Commission's regulations.
From discussions with yourself and Mr. Thomas Jurewicz, it is our understanding that after receiving the unit containing licensad material, the manufacturer removed the sealed source at your request and no licensed material is currently possessed, used, or stored at the above address. We further understand that you plan to submit a license application to the NRC Region I o#7?ce.
If our understandings are incorrect, please inform us in writing.
In accordance with Section 2.700 of the NRC's "Rules of Practice," Part 2, Title 10, Code of Federal Regulations, a copy of this letter will be placed in the Public Document Room. No reply to this letter is required; however, should you have any questions concerning this inquiry, we will be pleased to discuss them with you.
