ANNUAL FSAR AND FHA AHENDMENTS Gentlemen:

In accordance with the provisions of 10 CFR 50.71, Georgia Power Company (GPC) hereby submits one signed original and ten copies each of the annual amendments to the Final Safety Analysis Reports (FSARs) and the Fire Hazards Analysis and Fire Protection Program (FHA) for Plant Hatch Units 1 and 2.

Per the requirements of 10 CFR 50.54(a)(3), the minor text revisions to section 17.2, "Quality Assurance During the Operations Phase," do not reflect changes that reduce the commitments to GPC's (previously accepted) QA program description.

Therefore reporting may be done annually in accordance with 10 CFR 50.71.

In accordance with 10 CFR 50.71(e)(2)(1), H. G. Hairston, III states he is a Senior Vice President of Georgia Power Company, and is authorized to execute this oath on behalf of Georgia Power Company, and to the best of his knowledge and belief, the information contained in each of the enclosed FSAR and FHA amendrnents "accurately presents changes made since the previous submittal, necessary to reflect information and analyses submitted to the Commission or prepared pesuant to Commission Requirement."
