Dear Mr. Rooney:
Enclosed is a request from Transnuclear, Inc. to amend export license XSNM02187 to add ABB Atom AB as an intermediate consignee for the purpose of conversion and fabrication.
A letter of assurance is required that the material will be subject tu all of the terms and conditions of an agreement for cooperation. Your assistance in obtaining the necessary assurance letter will be appreciated. Additionally, since the material contains some Canadian origin source material, we would appreciate your obtaining the required approval pursuant to the U.S.-Canadian Agreement.
For your convenience, we are attaching copies of Amendments 03 and 04 and pertinent correspondence regarding the quantity of material currently authorized for export and the quantity of Canadian-origin material involved.
