Huang Introduction A meeting was held at the request of Transnuclear, Inc. (TN) at Rockville, Maryland, on February 17, 1987, concerning the Model No. TN-RAM cask.
Discussion TN held a preliminary meeting with the NRC staff to discuss the proposed design of a new Type B cask to transport irradiated hardware.
The cask is 88" OD by 172" high and is provided with two wood filled, impact limiters. The cask is constructed of stainless steel and has a gross weight of about 108,000 pounds.
