. Notice is hereby given that the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission i

(the Commission) has issued Amendment. No. 26 to Facility Operating License-No.. DPR-3 issued to Yankee Atomic Electric Company (the licensec) which revised Technical Specifications' for operation of' the Yankee Nuclear Power Station located.in Rowe, Massachusetts. The amendment-is effective as o'f'its' date of issuance. -

This' amendment. changes the restrictions in the Technical Specifications relating to the allowabic Linear lleat Cencration: Rate (LHCR) for operation

~of the reactor based on the 'rcsults of the licensee's additional ECCS-performance analysis for Core XII and in compliance with 10 CFR Part 50, 250.46.. '

'The application for the amendment complies with the standards and j requirements of the Atomic Energy' Act of 1954, as amended (the Act), and the Commission's rules and regulations. The Commission has made appro-priate f1'ndings as required by the Act and the Commission's rules and ,

regulations in 10 CFR Chapter I, which are set forth in the license-amendment. Prior public notice of this amend =ent is not reqoired since this amendment relates to substantially the same matters identified in the j Notice of Proposed Issuance of Amendmerrt to Facility Operating License.
