LaSalle County Station Units 1 and 2 Revision to A-Model Commitment Date NRC Docket Nos. 50-373 and 50-374
Dear Mr. Davis:
The purpose of this letter is to inform you that the LaSalle Station A-Model, previously scheduled for operation on March 31, 1988, is now projected to be operational by June 30, 1988.
This new date is based on the amount of work that has been completed and a projection of how much time it will take to complete the remainder.
The delay of the LaSalle A-Model is related to the complexity of the actual program, the increase in the numbers of program sub-routines and sizes of the sub-routines, the depth of the design dxuments required by quality procedures and the design changes resulting from programming efforts. These problems have been complicated by personnel limitations and, as a result, we have experienced these delays.
In order to minimize the potential for future delayr, a list of critical path items has been created in order to provide P2 - gency Planning with the closer control of items needed to complete the project. Additionally, personnel reassignments in our Process computer Systems Department have been made. As a result, we have a high degree of confidence that the June 30, 1988 is achievesble.
