2/28/87 To the Nuclear Regulatory Commionion, .g gp -6 ? 3 '10 I strongly oppose your recent action to overrido local and stato government relating to the evacuation of Shoreham. I am against it because I OPPOSE SHOREHAM and I am against it becauso I believe it in UNCONSTITUTIONAL. Anyone who has ever lived a commuted on Long Island knows it in IMPOSSIBLE TO EVACUATE this particular configuration of land maso, but perhaps even more frightening, in the largor sonse, la your war, ton dierogard for the Constitution and its concept of States Rights. When you circumnavigate the rightfull Jurisdiction of the Stato you take away the power of the people (by voting for their clocted reprenontativoc of that State Government) to govern themselves.

You are nothing more than a group dictatorship usurping the right of the people to determino what is in their best interent for their own safet y.

I have not previously boon interested in the anti-nucioar movement, nor even participated in the local unti-Shoreham group, though I definitely agrood with the latter. However, if you can get away with thin heinous manouver, I promise you I will! When you indulge in such obvioun power manipulation to abridge the rights of a large group of citizono, you run the rink of waking thom up, and that is enactly what you've dono to me!
