Dear Mr. Zech,
The rule change that you propose is totally unacceptable for the 1isensing of either Seabrook or Shoreham.
In the case of the latter.
the plant was built on a fault, was definitely affected by an earthquake in 1981:.
has been bui1t by the
- shodious, s1ioshod and unsefe methods and is run by people who do not kn ota anything about safety.
Their record during the 1985 hurricane
" C,1 n c i a " is umll known to have been one of utter f ailure and they j
had to get technicians from everyplace else to help them recover.
Their service over the years has been outrageous, with wanton disrega,rd for their customers.
This is the company you want to lisense to run a nuclear p l an t I'd sooner live on the moon than j
live anywhere near Shoreham on line.
The plant has been constructed in a totally unsafe manner and is run by a bunch of nimcompoeps and if you 1isense it3 you wi11 only be showing your own gross disregard for the survival of the people of Long Island.
This p l a r. t is more unsafe than 3
Mile Island and Chernobv1 combined and you want to foist it on people.
I'd like to out you in a car on a Friday during rush hour on the Long Island expressway, and see how fast you think you can go on the reads of this island.
I strongly urge you to use your brains to see that what you are doing is i l l eg al, immoral and totally un :o ns t i ' u t i onal ! ' '
