Dear Mr. Zech:

The NRC has provided sixty days for the public to comment on the l proposed rule change allowing nuclear plants to go on line without t the cooperation of local government in their proposed evacuation plans. As residents of.New York and po tential victims of a disaster.

at Shoreham, we are absolutely opposed to such a change. A decision to change the rules will be a disastrous capitulation to the merce-nary interests of the utilities. Their evacuation plan is a joke.-

Save our lives (and maybe your own). Keep Shoreham closed.
