APPEN. DIX A N0 LICE OF VIOLATION P & P Laboratories Docket No. 9999001 Woodlynne, New Jersey 08107 Non-Licensee As a result of *.he inspection conducted on November 5, 1987, and in accordance with the "General Statement of Policy and Procedure for NRC Enforcement Actions,"
10 CFR Part 2, Appendix C (Enforcement Policy) (1986), the following violation was identified:
10 CFR 30.3 requires that no person possess or use byproduct material except as authorized by a specific or general licensa issued pursuant to Title 10, Chapter 1, Code of Federal Regulations.
Contrary to the above, on November 5, 1987, P & P Laboratories, possessed approximately 15 millicuries of Nickel-63, a byproduct material, without a valid license.
This is a Severity Level IV violation.

Pursuant to the provisions of 10 CFR 2.201, P & P Laboratories is hereby required to submit to this office within thirty days of the date of the letter which transmitted this Notice, a written statement or explanation in reply, including:
(1) the corrective steps wl.ich have been taken and the re ults achieved; (2) corrective steps which will be taken to avoid further vio'atic.1s; and (3) the date when full compliance will be achieved.
