The following is llouston I.ighting 6 Power Company's (ill.GP) response to the item of noncompliance identified in IE Inspection Report Nos. 50-495/79-03 and 50-499/79-03 dated Starch 14, 1979.

Corrective Action Taken a)
Storage areas on site have been surveyed for stainless steel material in contact with carbon steel.
Additional items were identified on a nonconformance report issued itarch 19, 1979, and are awaiting proper disposition.
b) Site storage was also surveyed to monitor for material in contact with the ground.
Specific areas of concern have been iden-ti fied and corrective action has been

To prevent future contact of material with
~~the ground, specifically rebar, the }3rc-plaecment inspector will verify that material in the field areas meets this requirement, and surveillance will be perfonned to monitor the construction storage yards for compliance.
Additionally, appropriate construction person-nel have been instructed on the need to main-tain correct storage of rebar.
