REQUEST FOR WITHHOLDING INFORMATION FROM PUBLIC DIS.LOSURE (CAW-88-011)

By letter dated February 29, 1988, Georgia Power Company submitted "LOFTTR2 Analysis for a Steam Generator Tube Rupture Event for the Vogtle Electric Generating Plant Units 1 and 2," WCAP-11731, and requested that it be withheld from public disclosure pursuant to 10 CFR 2.790. Also submitted was your affidavit dated February 3,1988.

Your affidavit stated that the submitted information should be considered exempt from mandatory public disclosure for the following reasons:

i. The information sought to be withhe'd from public disclosure is owned and has been held in confidence by Wes .nghouse.
2. The information is o# a type customarily held in confidence by Westinghouse and not customarily disclosed to the public.
3. The information was transmitted to the NRC in confidence.
4. The information is not available in public sources.
5. Public disclosure of this information is likely to cause substantial harm to the competitive position of Westinghouse.

We have reviewed ycur application and the material in accordance with the requiremer.ts of 10 CFR 2.790 and, on the b sis of your statements, have determined that the submitted information sought to be withheld contains trade secrets or proprietary comercial information.
