Operating License No. DPR-73 Docket No. 50-320 TMI-2 Organizational Plan - Revision 18 Attached for your review and approval is Revision 18 to the GPU Nuclear Organization Plan. This revision incorporates the proposed GPU Nuclear Corporation reorganization that is proposed to be effective May 1,1988. This corporate reorganization has no direct impact on the clean-up operations at TMI-2. The THI-2 organization remains a separate division within the GPU Nuclear Carporation with its own ergineering and technical support functions.

However, the change does affect GPU Nuclear Divisions which have a major interface with the THI-2 organization.

The newly formed Division of Quality Assurance, Training and Education will assume the functions indicated.

Since the m specific functions are not altered by the reorganization, the creation of the division structure is an administrative change to align these functions under one vice president and has no safety irrplication.

The proposed reorganization is administrative and, as such, does not involve a change to the THI-2 Recovery Technical Specifications nor result in an unreviewed safety question. The realignment of functional respensibilities was made to enhance the organizational capability to provide appropriate technical resources to ensure that the nuclear facilities may be operated and maintained in a safe, effective, and efficient manner.

Per the requirements of 10 CFR 170, an application fee of $150.00 is enclosed.
