Letter from J. P. Watters to L. C. Rouse, dated 5/31/88 Gentlemen:
The B&W Fuel Company, Commercial Nuclear Fuel Plant has requested amendment of SNM-1163 to accommodate a temporary shutdown in fuel fabricacion activities this summer (Reference 5).
This letter is written to modify Attachment I sent with the 5/31/88 letter.
V We had requested that Part 6.6 of Section V of SNM-1168 indicate a monthly instead of weekly audit schedule for nuclear and radiological safety, except during plant shutdown of a week or longer.
The exception for the week or longer plant shutdown is ambiguous in light of the fact that the overall. request is intended to apply to a 2-3 month shutdown period.
As a result, we have deleted the exception for the week or longer plant shutdown as indicated in the attachment to this letter.
All other requested conditionc remain unchanged, f0$
