ACRS report to Congress on safety research. Notice of this neeting was pub- i 5
lished Aug. 15 and Sept. 21,1978 (43 FR 36151 and, 42826 , respectively) . %
A In accordance with the procedures outlined in the Federal Register on f as October 31,1977 (42 FR 56972), oral or written statements may be presented $<
by members of the public, recordings will be permitted only during those portions of the meeting when a transcript is being kept, and questions may _
j be asked only by members of the Subcommittee, its consultants, and Staff. j

2 Persons desiring to make oral statements should notify the Designated 1
Federal Employee as far in advance as practicable so that appropriate j arrangements can be made to allow the necessary time during the meeting 1
for such statements.

i 8:30 a.m. until the conclusion of business each day.
The Subcommittee may meet in Executive Session, with any of its ha consultants who may be present, to explore and exchange their pre- ,
liminary opinions regarding ratters which should be considered during the meeting and to formulate a report and recommendations to the full _;

At the conclusion of the Executive Session, the Subcomittee will hear presentations by end hold discussions with representatives of the NRC Staff, the Department of Energy, and their consultants, pertinent to the agenda items. The Subcommittee may then caucus to determine whether the matters identified in the initial session have been adequately covered and whether the project is ready for review by the full Committee.
