20001 Re: Commission's March 21, 1988 Consideration of Full-Power OL Licensing of the South Texas Nuclear Project (STNP)

Dear Ms. Garde and Mr. Condit:

This letter responds to your March 16, 1988 letter requesting the Comt'ssion to delay the March 21, 1988 meeting at least seven days in ottier to afford GAP additionsl time to evaluate the report of the NRC Safety Significance Assessment Team (SSAT) and requesting an opportunity to address the Comission at the meeting.

The Comission has determined that it will not delay the meeting scheduled for March 21, 1988.

If GAP after full evaluation of the SSAT Report believes that there are particular problems related to South Texas, it may address those concerns in inter alia a petition filed under 10 CFR 2.206.

Permission to allow interested persons or organizations to speak at a Consnission meeting is a discretionary matter. A majority of the Comission in its discretion has detennined that it will not allow GAP to address the Comission at the March 21, 1988 meeting.
