The subject report was transmitted to the NRC by the General Electric Ca. by letter from L. J.

Sobon to V. Stello dated October 31, 1978.

This report describes an analytical model that computes the water rise in a safety / relief valve (SRV) discharge line subsequent to SRV closure and was provided as part of task 7.1.2.2 of the Mark I Containment Program.

Since portions of the subject report will be utilized in support of the Cooper Nuclear Station containment evaluation program, we would like to request that the subject report, NEDE-23898-P, be included on NRC Incket No. 50-298 for Cooper Nuclear Station.
