Also enclosed is a stnmary of the changes made in this general revision and the current schedule for the irrplementation of this assessment. Program Plan is based upon SWEC discussions . with the NRC,             PECo,   and    Bechtel    during      information              tr at.s f e r   meetin;;s     on June 23, 1988,             and    a   SWEC    Oversight      Comnittee review meeting                         on   ,

June 29, 1988. The following relient changes have been mades

1. Progrr.m description has been changed to better denribe details .of the ree M coverag* and the emphasis on hardware examination. Specific ~ ,

clarifications include identification of the following items: Portions of' systems directly supporting r.he CHR Mode (IDA/ICA)

                            *-      Breaker coordination and equipment protection (IDA)

Piping requiring class 1 analysis, subject to hydrodynamic loading, and experiencing large temperature changes (IDA) Set point calculations (IDA) Cable length (documented by construction) consistent with voltage drop calculati.ons (IDA/ICA) Radiation Procection and Alara implementation (IDA) Amplified Response Spectra (ARS) development anc application (IDA) Hazards Program review has been defined s to include MELB,.UELB, Flo'oding, . Heavy Loads, Rotary Sfis siles , Fire (Appendix R), and , Seismic II/I.

2. The Action Item (AI) and Observation Report (OR) processing has been

changed to show Bechi.el as the primary action organization for AI/OR.

3. The key personnel listing (Attachment 1) has been revised to reflect new personnel assignments to better utilin experience and a personnel resignation.

Identify Bechtel as the primary organization with which SWEC will interface during the IDCA. t Identify AI and OR processing protocol with Bechtel, PECo and the NRC. Require any PECo employee assigned to the SWEC IDCA Team to complete an "Assignment Acknededgment and Agreement." '

Define SWEC's action to be taken when it appers that an eval'uation needs to be perrormed to assess potential reportability.
