Dear Mr. Chairman:

In my letter of May 16, 1988, I as,sured you that the Commission would keep you informed on the status of the investigation pertaining to the Joseph M. Farley Nuclear Plant.

On May 20, 1988, a request to enforce the subpoenas issued to the eleven Farley employees was submitted to the Department of Justice,'aashington, D.C.

To date, the Justice Department has not filed the NRC enforcement request with the Court.

We anticipate that this action will occur in the immediate future and will keep you informed of the outcome of the NRC's request.
