Full-power licensing of the South Texas Nuclear Project (STNP)
Dear Chairman Zech:
Twc days ago we received a copy of the NRC Safety Significance Assessment Team (SSAT) report on allegations regarding the STNP.
Currently we are in the process of distributing the report to the STNP allegers and others who have been involved in the allegation review process.
Unfortunately, it is impossible to evaluate and comment on the SSAT report on or before the Commission's March 21st meeting.
Therefore, we request that you delay the Commission's consideration of the STNP full-power license for at least 7 days.
In addition, we request an opportunity to address the Commission at its meeting to consider the STNP ful)-power license.
Please advise us as soon as possible about the Commission's decisions on our requests.
