This letter transmits the Pilgrim Nuclear Power Station (PNPS) Self-Assessment of Readiness for Restart Report and the PNPS Restart Plan, Volume 2, Rev. 2. The Self-Assessment of Readiness for Restart Report describes both the process and the '
conclusions ^ of the Restart Readiness Self-Assessment (RRSA) by Boston Edison Nuclear Organization management. The Restart Plan, Volume 2, Rev. 2 is the second installment of updated results for the Restart Plan. As such, the Restart Plan, Volume 2, Rev. 2 supersedes the first revision submitted by letter of October 26, 1987.
The process and results of the RRSA have confirmed the appropriateness and viability of the Restart Plan. Only limited changes to the Restart Plan description are necessary to reflect currcnt implementation at PNPS. These changes are reflected in Chapter IV of this report (changes to organizational structure and personnel) and in Chapter V. A.1, V.B.1, and V.D.2 of this report (changes to Restart Plan, Volume 1, Chapters II, III, and IV implementation). Cha",*es to Appendix 10 of Volume 2 of the Restart Plan are identifiea in Appendix 11 of Volume 2, Rev. 2.
