Dear Mr. Hoyle:

Enclosed please find a letter from Timex Corporation requesting an amendment to export license XB000956 to change one of the ultimate consignees authorized to receive the material from TMX Taiwan, Incorporated to TMX Singapore, (PTE) Limited.

It is our understanding that this new consignee is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Timex Corporation.

Before taking action on this license amendment, we would appreciate your views, in accordance with established procedures and from the overall perspective of the Executive Branch, as to whether the issuance of the requested amendment would be inimical to the interests of the United States, including the common defense and security.

, Sincerely, ld Gerald G. Oplinger, ssistant Director Export / Import and International Safeguards Office of International Programs
