Gentlemen:
On January 11, 1988, we informed you via our report logged TXX-88021 of a reportable deficiency involving a cmdition cited at another nuclear facility in which an open electrical connection on one crimp lug caused a failure in the Solid State Safeguards System (SSSS) load sequencing equipment.
This is a final report to provide the corrective action implementation schedule pursuant to the provisions of 10CFR50.55(e).
In our previous report (TXX-880?l) we informed you that Startup Work Packages (SWP) No. 4094 and 4095 were initiated to reterminate the deficient wire crimp lugs.
This was for Unit 1 only.
SWP 4146 and 4147 have now been initiated to inspect for and reterminate any Unit 2 sequencer defective wire crimp lugs.
The above stated activities are currently scheduled for completion by June 30, 1988, for Unit 1 and Unit 2 Hot Functional Test for Unit 2.
Supporting information will be available at the CPSES site for your inspector's consideration after these dates.
Very truly yours, IM4&
