COMANCHE PEAK STEAM ELECTRIC STATION DOCKET NOS. 50-445 AND 50-446 SAFEGUARDS AREA FAN COOLERS SDAR: CP-86-22 (FINAL REPORT-UNIT 1)
(INTERIM REPORT-UNIT 2)
Gentlemen:
On July 8,1987, by our letter logged Txx-6551, we notified you of a deficiency involving the capacity of the ) resent fan cooler design in the safeguards area to adequately handle the leat load in several rooms, which we deemed reportable under the provisions of 10CFR50.55(e).
The purpose of this letter is to update the status of the corrective action im)1ementation schedule.
Our last report was logged Txx-6865, dated Octo)er 21, 1987.
The Unit I chilled water rebalancing and Engineering review of appropriate Startup Test Procedure Acceptance criteria are scheduled for ccmpletion by June 30, 1988.
This is our final report for Unit 1.
The records for Unit I will be on site for inspectors review after that date.
Our next. report for Unit 2 will be submitted no later than July 15, 1988.
In that report we intend to discuss, as required, the results of our calculations for Unit 2, the Unit 2 corrective actions required to resolve this condition and the Unit 2 corrective action implementation schedule.
