Dear Mr. Butler:

This is the eighth annual report on safety-relief valve challenges for the Peach Bottom Atomic Power Station as required by NRC Action Plan, Item II.K.3.3.

The definition of challenges considered in this report is the automatic opening of the primary coolant system safety or relief valves in response to a high reactor pressure condition.

During 1987, there were no challenges to the primary coolant system safety and relief valves on Peach Bottom Units 2 and 3.
