NUCLEAR REGULATORY COMMISSION REVIEW 0F THE GENERAL ATOMICS GA-9 LEGAL WEIGHT TRUCK SPENT FUEL SHIPPING CASK (TAC NO. L21992)
Dear Mr. Grenier:
By letter dated May 24. 1996, the De)artment of Energy (DOE) informed the Nuclear Regulatory Commission that t1e contract with General Atomics (GA) for the development of the GA-9 Spent Fuel Shipping Cask had been terminated.
In its letter, the DOE requested the termination of charges paid by the Nuclear Waste Fund for this review (TAC No. L21992).
1 For recordkee)ing purposes, the Docket No. will remain as 71-9227 however, we are closing t1e associated NRC charge TAC No. L21992.
Since GA has indicated its intention of submitting a revised GA-9 cask application, upon receipt, we will establish and provide you with a new TAC No. for the project.
