SUBJECT:
ANALYSIS OF THE RESOURCE REQUIREMENTS FOR THE HIGH LEVEL WASTE LICENSING SUPPORT SYSTEM The Office of the Controller has completed its analysis of resource requirements for the High Level Waste Licensing Support

System as requested in your February 15, 1989 memorandum.
The analysis recommends planning estimates of $1 million and 5 FTE's in FY 1990 and $2 million and 5 FTE's each year beginning in FY t
1991 through 1994.
I plan to include the recommended resources in the draft Five Year plan which will be provided to you.
l The analysis also provides recommended goals, planning assumptions, objectives and guidance.
Plans for implementation of the LSS are currently under development by the LSS Steering i
committee.
The analysis recommends that further review of resource requirements be conducted upon completion of the implementation planning process.
A copy of the final report is enclosed for your consideration.
