This is to confirm that I will not be attending the pre hearing conference this week in the above referenced matter.
However, through its Attorney General the Commonwealth of Massachusetts continues to have a strong interest in the proceeding, and expects to participate in any adjudicatory hearings that are scheduled.
To facilitate attendance at such hearings by witnesses who work at, or near the plant, or live in the vicinity of the plant, I urge you to consider holding such hearings in Franklin County in Western Massachusetts.
Holding hearings in Franklin County will also enable members of the public who work or live in the vicinity of the plant and wish to observe the proceedings to attend.
Out office would be happy to be of assistance in locating suitable facilities for such hearings in that county.
