This refers to the meeting conducted at the Fort Calhoun Station on July 25,1997. This meeting related to discussions of the Fort Calhoun Station Operations Performance Enhancement Program (OPEP), the approach to criticality on May 12,1997,and i
improvements in maintenance and planning and scheduling. The completion of the OPEP and the efforts for continuing improvements through the Operations Unity Council were discussed as were other initiatives for improvements in operations, maintenance, and planning and scheduling. This meeting provided a useful forum for discussion of both accomplishments and continuing challenges in these areas.
In accordance with Section 2.790 of the NRC's " Rules of Practice," Part 2, Title.10, Code -
of Federal Regulations, a copy of this letter will be placed in the NRC's Public Document Room.
