NRC INSPECTION REPORT NOS. 50-321/97-03 AND 50-366/97-03
Gentlemen:
Thank you for your_ response of July 17, 1997, to our Notice of Violation (NOV)
issued on June 17, 1997, concerning activities conducted at your Hatch
facility.
We have evaluated your response and found that it meets the
requirements of 10 CFR 2.201. We will examine the implementation of your
corrective actions during future inspections.
After reviewing your letter, we agree with your statement that Unit 2 did not
o)erate in the " Operation Not Allowed Region" of the power-to-flow map during
t1is event as stated in the Notice of Violation. The appropriate title of the
region in question should have been the "Immediate Exit Region".
Accordingly,
this correspondence serves to adjust our records to reflect that Unit 2
)
operated for a short period of time in the "Immediate Exit Region" of the
power g
w map.
We appreciate your bringing this to our attention and your cooperation in this
