Waterford 3 SES Docket No. 50-382 License No. NPF-38 120 Day Response to Generic Letter 97-01 Gentlemen:
By letter dated April,1,1997, the NRC issued Generic Letter 97-01, " Degradation of Control Rod Drive Mechanism Nozzle and Other Vessel Closure Head Penetrations,"
which requested licensees to provide a written report including the requested information within 120 days. Entergy Operations at Waterford 3 is a participant in the Combustion Engineering Owners Group (CEOG) program to address this issue. By i
letter dated July 25,1997, the CEOG on behalf of Waterford 3 and the other CEOG participants submitted the information requested in the 120 day response to the NRC in Combustion Engineering Topical Report CE-NPSD-1085.
