CONFIRMATION OF NUCLEAR REGULATORY COMMISSION (NRC)' MEETING WITH ANSALD0 IN GENOA, ITALY TO DISCUSS QUALITY ASSURANCE (QA) ISSUES RELATED TO AP600 AND THE SIMPLIFIED BOILING WATER REACTOR (SBWR)
Dear Mr. Liparulo:
The letter is to confirm the visit by Nuclear Reactor Regulation (NRR) staff Messrs. Richard McIntire, Juan Peralta, Allan Levin, and Dino Scaletti to Ansaldo Offices in Genoa, Italy on March 11 and 12,1996.
The Ansaldo meetings will take place following the NRR staff inspection of the GE Nuclear Energy test facility in Wurenlingen, Switzerland. The purpose of these meetings is to discuss Ansaldo QA practices relating to both the AP600 and the SBWR design certification applications. The meetings will consist of a general discussion of QA practices common to both design beginning at 9 a.m.
