Dear Mr. Hickey,
By letter dated January 29,1996 the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) forwarded to the United States Enrichment Corporation (USEC), various NRC questions / comments on " Group A and B" sections ofISSC's Revision 1 (September 15,1995) application for a certificate of compliance for the Paducah Gaseous Diffusion Plant.
Attached are USEC's responses to a number of the NRC questions / comments from the January 29, 1996 NRC letter. Also attached are revisions to several USEC responses previously provided to the NRC. The enclosure provides a status of the response to each of the Group A and B questions / comments.
Responses to the remaining questioris/ comments will be submitted at a later date.
In accordance with 10 CFR 76.33(e) and consistent with the NRC's December 18,1995 letter, the attached procedures are considered to be proprietary commercial and financial information pursuant to 10 CFR 2.790(d)(1) and 9.17(a)(4) and are exempt from public disclosure. These responses have been l
clearly identified as proprietary information.
The attached responses need to be reviewed by DOE and USEC for impact on the Compliance Plan.
I Any changes that are necessary to the Compliance Plan will be incorporated in a subsequent revision.
