In surrary, exerptiens were requested free the requirecent of separatirg cables and associated nonsafety circuits of redundant trains by 3 hour3.472222e-5 days <br />8.333333e-4 hours <br />4.960317e-6 weeks <br />1.1415e-6 months <br /> rated fire barriers as discussed in Section !!!.G.P.a of Appendix R. and freri prcviding horizontal separation of rore than 20 feet with ro intervenirg certustitles as required by Sections !!!.G.2.b and !!!.G.P d.

In addition, exerptiers were requested frcm the erergency lighting requirerents of Sectien !!!.J. Alsei an enerptien was requested fron the requirerent of pre-vidirg direct reading cf process variables as discussed in Section !!!.L.P.d.

Equivalent levels ot' protection fcr the iters specified above would be provided by the lictrsee.

The proposed e>eeptions wculd not degrade the level of safety attained by

ccepliance with the rule and there wculd be no change in accident doses to the envircrrent. Consequertly, the pretability of fires has not teen increased l

ard the post-firt radiological releases would not be greater than previously determined; not do the proposed exerptions otherwise affect radiological j

plant effluents. Therefore, the Conrission concludes that there are no sigrificant radiolcgical environnental irpacts associated with the proposed i

1 execptions.

l With regard to potential rceradiolryical impacts, the preposed e>er ptfor.s

frvolve features located entirely within the restricted area as defired in I

4 10 CFR Part 20 They do not affect rcoradiological plant effluents and hase l

no other environrental irpact. Therefore, the Consiission concludes that there are no significant nonradiological environrental inpacts associated with the grcrosed exerptiens.

Since we have cercluded that the envirorsental effects of the proposed action are not significart, any alternatives with equal or greater envircorettal inpacts need not be evaluated.
