It is requested that the expiration date of the subject license be extended to May 31, 1980.
This extension will be approximately 90 days past the expiration date of February 29, 1993 nrted in condition 4 of the subject license.
This extension is necessary due to the restructuring of major parts of our Radiation Protection Program that are presently taking place as a result of the NRC enforcement action elaborated on in Ref erences 1 and 2.
The requested extension will allow us time to complete the definition of our programs and include them as part of the license renewal required by 10CFR70.
It is also requested that the submittal of our updated environmental plan, as required by 10CFR51 to support the license renewal application, he ex-tended to the same date of May 31, 1988.
Both the renewal license application and the updated environmental report will be submitted, as required, 30 days prior to the extended date of May 31, 1988 or April 30, 1988.
