Thank you for your letter of July 10,1997, confirming the substantive progress in drafting the AP600 Final Safety Evaluation Report and your belief that the Final Design Approval can be issued in 1998.
I assure you that Westinghouse will continue to provide the resources and the necessary information on a basis consistent with the issuance of the Final Design Approval in early 1998.
I also reaffirm my commitment to work with you to focus the efforts of our staffs to meet the commitments for the successful and timely completion of the AP600 review.
